Wind chills continue to be a problem! Tomorrow we will be on a regular 2-hour delay schedule. Teachers will not have a 1 hour delay. School will start 2 hours later than the regular time. For example, Ryan Park usually starts at 7:55, and they will start the day at 9:55 tomorrow. There will be no early drop off like there is on most Wednesdays with a 1 hour delay.

In a heartwarming display of community spirit and dedication, the students of Mrs. McFerron and Ms. Bromley's classes embarked on their second annual project-based learning donation drive, driven by compassion and a desire to make a difference. This year, their focus turned to the Steuben County Humane Shelter, an organization close to their hearts. Armed with creativity and enthusiasm, these young changemakers utilized modern tools like Canva to craft compelling flyers and posters. These materials were dispersed throughout the school, capturing attention and spreading awareness about their noble cause. But it didn't stop there. Determined to amplify their message, the students scripted, performed, directed, and edited a powerful video advocating for their donation drive. Their efforts were a testament to their dedication and teamwork, showcasing their talents while championing a worthy cause. The initiative was not just about creating awareness—it was about action. Every day, the students diligently collected donations, meticulously graphing the incoming contributions. As the days progressed, their graph filled with the heartwarming evidence of generosity and empathy. The culmination of their hard work was staggering: a grand total of 71 donations poured in between December 1st and December 22nd. This overwhelming response was a testament to the kindness and generosity prevalent within their school community. But the impact didn't end with the collection of items. With hearts full of excitement and anticipation, the students journeyed to the Humane Shelter, eager to deliver the donations personally. There, they were greeted by the furry beneficiaries of their project, forming connections and understanding firsthand the impact of their efforts. To everyone who contributed, whether by donating items or supporting the cause in any way, the students extend their heartfelt gratitude. Your support helped make a tangible difference in the lives of the animals at the Steuben County Humane Shelter. As these students reflect on their journey, they not only celebrate their accomplishments but also recognize the power of unity, compassion, and dedication in effecting positive change within their community. This annual tradition stands as a testament to what can be achieved when passion meets purpose, and when a group of determined individuals joins forces to create meaningful change.
