Last night, the Board of the Metropolitan School District of Steuben County voted to convert Pleasant Lake Elementary to a K-6 Montessori school. We are excited to introduce the ONLY area Montessori programs for preschool at the Early Learning Center at Carlin Park AND K-6 students at Pleasant Lake Montessori. It was MADNESS at Carlin Park during our Staff vs. Students Basketball Game today. The Students defeated the Staff and fun was had by all! The basketball game was an all-school reward for earning 400 CHIRPS for positive behavior as a school! We love having fun and working hard!

Last week students and staff celebrated Reading Across America by having dress-up days. A favorite day was Wacky Wednesday, funny outfits and hair were sighted throughout the school. Also on Friday afternoon 2nd and 3rd graders were given a special donut treat for finishing up their I-Read testing.
