Henry Park Science Fair participants attended the Trine Regional fair, over the weekend.
Mila Carroll was Honorable mantion for 4th grade. Jetty Edgel was Honorable mention for 5th grade. Paul Stevens received 2nd place for 1st grade. Hailey Stevens recieved 1st place for 3rd grade, and 2nd place for the whole elementary division. Congratulations Roadrunners!

The School Smiles dentist is returning to our school in April for dental cleanings. If you missed the dentist’s first visit, there is still time to get your student signed up for our upcoming visit! A new form needs completed each school year to remain in the program, BUT if you have already completed a form for the 2023-24 school year, you do not need to sign-up again. School Smiles accepts Medicaid, private insurance, and offers self-pay rates for those who may be uninsured.

Friday, Mrs. Crankshaw's and Mrs. Pennington's classes reviewed what we knew about the water cycle and learned about clouds. Then we did an experiment to see how much "rain" it would take to saturate our cloud and make it rain!

Holly Herndon the Assistant Director of Youth Camps & Engagement at Trine University is excited to announce that they are hosting LEGO Camps on campus during Spring Break for 1st – 4th Graders.
March 25 & 26 will be for 1st & 2nd grade students from 9am – 2pm and March 27 & 28 will be for 3rd & 4th grade students from 9am – 2pm. Space is limited to 20 students per camp.

Ms. Bromley and Mrs. McFerron's classes are working on their social skills with Puzzles!




Mr Newhard’s class was studying a science unit on weather and the effects of it. As a class we had to use various materials to build storm shelters that went trough wind and rain tests. Many were successful!






If your 5th-grade students fell in love with an instrument during sessions in school recently, sign up for the band in middle school and get your instrument ready to go. Come to AMS on Tuesday from 5-7 and meet with representatives from Sweetwater to start the rental process.


Second grade just completed the Head in the Clouds science unit. After researching different types of clouds, students created a cloud model. The model included cirrus, stratus, cumulus, and cumulonimbus clouds. The students did a great job of using creativity to show off their knowledge!




For the month of February Hendry Park students are working to raise money for the American Heart Association through the Kids Heart Challenge. The Roadrunners are also working hard in PE to complete the Jumprope Ninja Challenge! We already have four students who have earned their black belt! Congratulations Rileigh, Easton, Kolbie and Lily!!









MSD of Steuben County faculty and staff participated in a professional development day on Friday, Feb 16th. Everyone attended sessions and education clinics about safety, reading, writing, and many other subjects.
